Wayne Bridge, a former 'Chelsea' player, stated that during his Time at the club, Ukrainian football player Andriy Shevchenko punched Israeli defender Tal Ben Haim.
Bridge mentioned that this clash between Shevchenko and Ben Haim was extraordinary.
'The best fight I have ever seen was between Shevchenko and Tal Ben Haim. Tal loved to play hard. They seemed to have had a few clashes before, and Shevchenko warned him. But you know how he was. After another provocation, they found themselves nose to nose. And the combination that Shevchenko threw was incredible. It was something like a jab, cross, hook, cross. Bang, bang, bang, bang! The game ended. He knocked him out, mate. Tal had to swallow his pride', Bridge recounted on the podcast The Dressing Room.
Bridge also noted that after this clash, the Israeli defender no longer approached Shevchenko.
Let us remind you that Shevchenko played for 'Chelsea' from 2006 to 2008. During this time, he played 77 matches, scored 22 goals, and provided 11 assists.
Currently, the legendary former footballer holds the position of head of the Ukrainian Football Association.
