Ukraine has extended the ban on imports of goods from Russia until the end of 2025.

The Government of Ukraine has extended the ban on the import of goods from the Russian Federation
The Government of Ukraine has extended the ban on the import of goods from the Russian Federation until December 31, 2025. According to the Ministry of Economy, the government has also extended the validity of the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1146 dated December 30, 2015, which establishes customs duties for the import of goods from the Russian Federation, until December 31, 2025.
These measures were introduced in 2015 as a counteraction to economic pressure.
'Since April 9, 2022, the Government completely banned trade in goods with Russia (Government Resolution No. 426 dated April 9, 2022). We do not engage in any trade with Russia and Russian goods. However, it is necessary to remember the pressure that Russia exerted before our full-scale invasion. Therefore, it is necessary to maintain the action of those measures that were previously implemented as a countermeasure to the Russian Federation,' said Deputy Minister of Economy Taras Kachka.
It is worth noting that in 2015, the Government of Ukraine adopted two resolutions regarding trade restrictions with the Russian Federation. This was in response to the actions of the Russian Federation concerning Ukraine, in particular the termination of the Free Trade Agreement as of January 1, 2016, and the introduction of bans on the import of a number of Ukrainian goods.
The validity of these measures is extended every year in December.
