The Ministry of Economy assessed the reserves of critical materials in the occupied territories.

Yulia Svyrydenko spoke about the reserves of strategic resources in the occupied territories
The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, shared information about the size of strategic resource reserves in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. According to preliminary estimates, these reserves amount to approximately 350 billion dollars.
During her speech at the 'Ukraine. Year 2025' forum in Kyiv, Svyrydenko emphasized the need to update geological data to confirm these estimates. Among the strategically important resources in the occupied territories are deposits of titanium, lithium, uranium, and other rare metals.
'We have a significant task ahead of us to update geological information and, of course, attract investors into the processing industry. We have information that critical materials worth around $350 billion are located in the temporarily occupied territory,' she noted.
Svyrydenko stressed that the discussion is not only about the extraction and export of raw materials but also about attracting investments for the development of the processing industry and comprehensive field development.
The Ministry of Economy considers this a strategic opportunity for the development of Ukraine's industrial potential after the liberation of territories. To realize this potential, plans are being made for extensive geological exploration and to create favorable conditions for attracting investors to the processing sector.
