A fire occurred in a multi-story building in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv as a result of a Russian drone attack. This was reported by the Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko.
"Explosion in the Solomianskyi district of the capital. Preliminary, an enemy UAV hit a residential building," Klitschko wrote in the first message.
A few minutes later, the mayor added details: "In the Solomianskyi district, in the high-rise building where the enemy drone hit, the upper floors are burning. Emergency services are on site."
The Kyiv city military administration confirmed the information about the attack. "As a result of the UAV army attack on Kyiv in the Solomianskyi district, a fire broke out in a separate apartment of a residential multi-story building," the KMAA statement said.
According to the head of the KMAA, Serhii Popko, information regarding the victims is currently being clarified. Operational units are working at the scene.
