The presidents of the USA and Ukraine held a telephone conversation

President Donald Trump and President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine had their first direct contact after the meeting at the White House. Trump also talked to Putin before this.

After the conversation with Zelensky, Trump shared on the social network Truth Social: 'Just finished a very good phone conversation with President Zelensky of Ukraine. It lasted about an hour. Many discussions took place based on yesterday's conversation with Putin to align the requests and needs of Russia and Ukraine. We're moving forward and I will reach out to Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Michael Waltz to get an accurate description of the discussed points. This statement will be published shortly.'

Both presidents discussed many issues, including future bilateral relations, ensuring stability in the region, and resolving the crisis in Ukraine, ending the war, and stopping the killings. They also discussed the details of military actions, the implementation of the ceasefire, and the exchange of prisoners,' stated White House National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.

Waltz denied the information that Putin made Trump wait to start the conversation: 'This is absurd misinformation. I can say that Donald Trump did not sit and wait an hour for any leader of a state. This was an important historical phone call.'

Waltz also reported that he spoke with Putin's advisor Yuri Ushakov: 'We agreed that our technical groups would meet in Riyadh in the coming days to discuss the implementation and expansion of the ceasefire reached by President Trump with Russia.'

'Now we are not talking about 'if' the war will end, but 'how' it will end,' added Waltz.
