Shmyhal said when Ukraine will stop the transit of Russian gas.

The Ukrainian gas transportation system will only be able to receive non-Russian gas starting in 2025
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that starting January 1, 2025, the Ukrainian gas transportation system will only be able to accept for transportation gas that does not originate from Russia. He made this statement during the 'Hour of Questions to the Government' in the Verkhovna Rada.
Shmyhal explained that the agreement on the transit of Russian gas ends in January 2025. At 7:00 AM that day, the transit will be stopped. However, resumption of transportation is possible only at the request of the European Commission and only when the gas is not of Russian origin.
The Prime Minister also emphasized that Ukraine should ensure the transit of Russian oil to Europe if required by the European Commission. This is stipulated in the Association Agreement with the EU and the Energy Charter Treaty. However, Ukraine is actively working on imposing full sanctions on Russian energy resources.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine does not plan to continue the transit of Russian gas. However, he noted the possibility of transporting gas that does not belong to Russia, provided that no financial transfers to the Russian Federation are made while the war is ongoing.
It should be noted that the USA has reintroduced sanctions against 'Nord Stream 2'.
