Food aid and peace: what Zelensky discussed with Saudi Prince bin Salman.


President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone conversation with Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, during which they discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, support for Ukraine, and global food security.
During the meeting, issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation to achieve peace were discussed. Zelensky expressed gratitude for the humanitarian aid provided and for Saudi Arabia's support of Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The key issue was the humanitarian initiative Food from Ukraine, aimed at supporting the Syrian people.
Ukraine will supply food and advanced technologies to agriculture in Syria, with funding expected from partner countries. Zelensky invited Saudi Arabia to join the initiative.
A phone conversation was also held with the Emir of Qatar, during which the participation of Qatar in the Peace Summit and its role in the return of Ukrainian children who were illegally taken out of Russia was discussed. Ukraine has already started a food aid program for Syria, sending 500 tons of wheat flour.
