The Ukrainian Permanent Representative to the UN Warns of Global Consequences of North Korea's Involvement in the War.

The statement of the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN, Serhiy Kyslytsya, expressed concern over Russia's efforts to involve North Korea in the war against Ukraine. He emphasized that this poses a threat to the security of Europe and the Indo-Pacific region, and therefore the international community must increase pressure on Moscow and Pyongyang.
'Putin seeks to create more problems in Asia by expanding the war against Ukraine,' Kyslytsya noted.
According to him, Russia is providing its North Korean partners with experience in participating in modern military conflicts.
The diplomat also noted that there are video recordings documenting the participation of North Korean troops in assaults on positions in Ukraine. This approach is unusual for the conflict between Russia and Ukraine and resembles the tactics used in World War II.
'North Korean soldiers do not understand the consequences of using advanced weapons and do not know how to counter these threats. This has already led to significant losses,' the representative of Ukraine stated.
Ukraine also points to the supply of weapons and ammunition from North Korea to Russia, and the most recent missile launch by North Korea was the reason for attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
Russia is violating UN resolutions by transferring technology for creating intercontinental ballistic missiles. These actions threaten the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
In this regard, Ukraine calls on the international community to exert pressure on Russia and North Korea in accordance with the UN Charter and to punish them for escalating the conflict.
