During the three months of 2025, the State Emergency Service responded to over 114,000 cases of emergencies, while the National Police processed over 1 million reports from citizens.

This was stated by Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko during a meeting of the Barriers-Free Council.

'Such data indicates the critical importance of ensuring access for all segments of the population to emergency services and necessary assistance,' the minister noted.

According to Klymenko, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has already made systemic changes in providing emergency assistance and services. Among these changes are the implementation of the 112 Service, digitization of services, adaptation of information for people with special needs, and training personnel in barrier-free communication.

'Operational response is a key indicator of the effectiveness of law enforcement agencies. In particular, the 112 Service has become the only channel for obtaining assistance. This pertains to completeness and speed. A person calls one number, but simultaneously triggers all the necessary services to resolve the situation. Communication centers are already operational in Kyiv, Lviv, and Dnipro. This year, an opening is planned in Odesa,' said Ihor Klymenko.

The minister noted that people with hearing or speech impairments can also reach out for help using the 112 number. To date, operators have processed over 26,000 requests in sign language.
