The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is successfully implementing the project 'Driving Schools for People with Disabilities', announced Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko during a meeting of the Barrier-Free Council.
According to the minister, there is an opportunity for people with disabilities to take practical tests on specially equipped vehicles at the Ministry of Internal Affairs service centers in order to obtain a driver's license. The process of translating the theoretical training course for future drivers into sign language is also underway.
We are modernizing not only the tools but also the very logic of interaction. People receive assistance and services quickly and comfortably. Instead of obstacles - clear steps, instead of uncertainty - human communication. This is a comprehensive and human-centered approach, - said Ihor Klymenko.
