Utility Bills Will Rise: Residents of Apartment Buildings Prepared for a Tariff 'Surprise'.

A round table meeting was held in Lutsk regarding the establishment of a new pricing procedure for services in managing apartment buildings.
The event was chaired by the Deputy Mayor of Lutsk, Iryna Chebelyk.
According to the Lutsk City Council, the director of the Department of Economic Policy, Borys Smal, emphasized the need to review the tariff policy. He stated that the current pricing system does not reflect actual costs and requires improvement. The new mechanism will allow for an economically justified cost of services and improve their quality.
Representatives of utility companies noted that the last tariff review took place in February 2020. Since then, prices for electricity, components, and spare parts have sharply increased, and the minimum wage has risen, complicating the work of utility services.
The head of Housing and Communal Enterprise No. 7, Mykola Harbarchuk, stressed that residents understand the necessity of changing prices but do not always cooperate.
Iryna Chebelyk emphasized that the draft decision has already been discussed with all service providers and is aimed at assisting enterprises in resolving financial issues.
The next step will be the document undergoing the regulatory procedure and being submitted to the meeting of the executive committee of the Lutsk City Council.
We also remind about the city rating for water tariffs and the salaries of water utility directors.
