Oschadbank and EBRD allocate €100 million for energy projects in Ukraine.

Oschadbank in partnership with the EBRD, EU and France is launching an energy security support program, which provides the opportunity to obtain loans and grants for the implementation of projects in the field of energy generation and energy efficiency. The EBRD will act as a partial guarantor for the loans provided by Oschadbank. The loan volume will amount to up to €100 million and will be directed to medium-sized enterprises, municipalities, micro and small enterprises, and households.
At least 70% of the loans will be allocated to support the transition to a 'green' economy. Another 20% of financing will go to the modernization of SMEs according to European standards, providing them with technical assistance and grant support through the EBRD's Special Crisis Response Fund. Private households and housing cooperatives will receive up to 10% of funding and will also have the opportunity to obtain grants from the EBRD.
Increased grant support is also planned for enterprises and households affected by the war, as well as for persons with disabilities and internally displaced persons. This will help them recover and adapt to new conditions. All borrowers - SMEs, private households, and housing cooperatives - will have the opportunity to receive compensation of 10% to 30% of expenses in the form of grant funds.
The implementation of this project has become possible thanks to the support of international donors, notably through risk guarantees from France and the EU Ukraine Investment Framework program. The total amount of financing in the Ukrainian market, secured by EBRD guarantees, exceeds €2 billion.
