Blinken discussed the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine with Macron
During his visit to France, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken held talks with President Emmanuel Macron. The parties discussed the issue of Russia's military aggression and assistance for Ukraine. This was reported by the spokesperson of the U.S. State Department, Matthew Miller.
Also in Paris, Blinken and Macron raised the issue of assistance from North Korea to Russia. Miller claims that Russia continues to wage war against Ukraine.
In a statement from the State Department, it was noted that the discussions with the President of France aimed to support Ukraine amid Russia's aggression and concerns about the support of the People's Republic of China for the Russian military-industrial complex backing the Russian military machine.
The situation in the Middle East has entered the agenda
During the talks, the political process in Syria after the collapse of President Bashar al-Assad's regime was also discussed. An important topic was the necessity of releasing hostages and a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, where Israel's operation against the militants of 'HAMAS' is ongoing.
Blinken and Macron discussed the necessity of concluding a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, which should ensure the immediate release of all hostages. They emphasized the importance of an inclusive transitional process in Syria that should support the rights of the Syrian people.
The State Department emphasized that Blinken and Macron committed to continue cooperation on these critical issues.
