Almost 100 hryvnias per kilo: prices for potatoes, cabbage, onions, and carrots skyrocketed in Ukraine in early March.

Vegetable prices in Ukraine increased in March
According to the Minfin portal, the prices for potatoes, cabbage, carrots, and onions rose in Ukraine in March this year. These vegetables are important components of Ukrainian cuisine.
The average price for regular potatoes increased from 31.98 UAH per kilogram in February to 35.15 UAH in March.
Young cabbage rose in price from 86.64 UAH/kg in February to 99.15 UAH/kg in March.
Regular carrots rose in price from 36.77 to 38.30 UAH/kg.
The price for white onions increased from 92.55 to 96.95 UAH/kg.
However, prices for young potatoes, pink potatoes, white cabbage, bulb onions, and red onions remained unchanged. Nevertheless, the increase in prices for other vegetables will affect the cost of Ukrainian dishes that housewives prepare at home.
Unfortunately, the rise in prices for some products may lead to economic instability.
