Russian runner Daria Yaderna was exposed for fraud during the Tokyo marathon. Her Time of 2 hours 46 minutes 42 seconds was the best among Russian women, but due to rule violations, it was annulled and she was excluded from the protocol. It turned out that Yaderna deliberately shortened the distance by bypassing several checkpoints and cutting the route. According to data from the last three years, she continuously shortened the distance in the marathons she participated in, cheating the system and improving her results. The Berlin marathon was particularly striking, where Yaderna allegedly used the subway to cover part of the route. Facts of her fraud were confirmed by her former coach, who stated that he ended his cooperation with her after the Berlin marathon. Another coach also terminated the contract with her. Yaderna herself is currently not commenting on the scandal.

Interestingly, she is the author of a book in English: 'Running Slow and Steady: Winning the Race from Last Place. From 700 meters to marathon in 9 months.'
