Expert assessed the influence of China and Russia on North Korea.

International political scientist, director of the Center for Public Research "Ukrainian Meridian" Dmytro Levus takes into account that North Korea has ceased to be 100% dependent on China due to Russian influence. The war of Russia against Ukraine forced Russia to cooperate with North Korea in the sphere of weapons and food. Moreover, after the appeal of Chinese President Xi Jinping regarding the support of North Korea, the DPRK may begin to mend military cooperation with China.
Levus believes that it is necessary to use the influence of the PRC on North Korea, but it is necessary to understand the consequences of such a step. Considering that Russia has destroyed the sanctions system against North Korea, turning to China may have little effect. Nevertheless, North Korea has already established cooperation with Russia in the field of defense.
