Drones attacked the Astrakhan gas processing plant and Lukoil refinery in Volgograd: what is known.


UAVs attacked regions of Russia, airports were closed
On the night of February 3, unmanned aerial vehicles attacked six regions of Russia, causing some airports to be closed. This was reported by representatives of the Russian defense ministry.
According to the ministry, 70 Ukrainian drones were shot down over the territory of six Russian regions. Of these, 7 aircraft were shot down over the Astrakhan region, and 25 over the Volgograd region.
According to ASTRA publication, the entire plant was evacuated.
As a result of the drone attack, the Lukoil oil refinery in Volgograd was attacked around one o'clock in the morning. Eyewitnesses and local Telegram channels reported about 50 explosions. Governor Andrei Bocharov claimed that due to drone debris, fires broke out at the plant and there were certain electricity supply problems in some areas of the city.
The governor of the Astrakhan region, Ilya Babushkin, also reported that Ukrainian drones attacked facilities of the fuel and energy complex. As a result, they were evacuated.
It was noted that one of these plants - Astrakhan gas processing plant, is of great importance for the defense sector of Russia and provides for the processing of gas condensate and fuel production. However, after the attack on the plant, a severe fire broke out.
Overall, there have been frequent drone attacks in Russia recently, which has concerned the population more than before.
