Egg Prices: How Costs Have Changed and What to Expect in 2025.

The changes in the price of eggs in Ukraine in 2025 and expectations for the future have been revealed to Ukrainians.
According to the publication 'Hvylya', a change in food prices in Ukraine, particularly for eggs, is expected at the beginning of 2025. Several key factors affect prices, such as weather conditions, crop quality, the situation with military actions, and other market factors.
In major supermarkets in Ukraine, at the beginning of the year, the prices for eggs range from 62 to over 200 UAH per package. The 'Silpo' chain has the widest range of prices.
The Varus store chain offers various options:
individual eggs are available for 6.35 UAH each;
eggs 'From a Good Hen' (2nd category) can be purchased for 47.90 UAH;
a dozen of 'Yasensvit' first category eggs will cost 63.90 UAH.
In 'ATB' store chain, the prices for eggs are more moderate:
'Svoia Liniya' higher category eggs (10 pieces) cost 50 UAH;
a package of 'This Egg!' with 10 pieces is sold for 54 UAH.
Expert Oleg Pendzin from the Economic Discussion Club predicts that the main factor for rising egg prices will be the increasing costs of poultry feed. However, the overall price dynamics in 2025 will also depend on the harvest results. In a favorable scenario, price stability without sharp changes is expected.
It was previously reported that food prices are rising faster than the NBU had forecasted.
