The Russian occupiers struck at Ukraine's gas production industry
On the night of March 7, 2025, Russian occupiers attacked critical infrastructure sites in Ukraine, focusing primarily on the gas production industry. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the radio technical troops of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during the attack, 261 enemy air attack means were detected and tracked, including 67 missiles of various types and 194 strike drones and imitator drones.
'The main focus of the attack was on the objects of Ukraine's gas production industry,' the Air Forces reported.
Ukrainian military repelled the attack, shooting down 134 aerial targets
Fighter aviation was involved to counter the attack, including F-16 and Mirage-2000 aircraft. It is noteworthy that the French Mirage-2000 fighters, which arrived in Ukraine only a month ago, participated for the first Time in a combat mission of this nature. Also involved in repelling the attack were anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare means, and mobile fire groups.
According to confirmed data, Ukrainian troops managed to shoot down 134 aerial targets: 25 Kh-101/Х-55 cruise missiles, 8 'Caliber' cruise missiles, 1 guided air missile Kh-59/69, and 100 Shahed-type strike drones.
Moreover, about ten enemy missiles did not reach their targets, and 86 imitator drones were lost in location without negative consequences for Ukraine.
Previously, the Russian army attacked Kyiv region with drones and shelled the Armed Forces' training ground in Dnipropetrovsk region.
