Zelensky: the government's war has taken more than 46 thousand Ukrainian soldiers
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky told NBC News in an interview that since the beginning of the war, Ukrainian military has suffered significant losses - over 46 thousand individuals. He also noted that many of them are missing or in captivity, and about 380 thousand people have been injured.
Earlier, the authorities in Kyiv kept the losses among their military secret, information about the number of dead fighters only became available after the state of war ended.
"Ukraine's losses from the war exceed the losses of the US in the wars in Vietnam and Korea combined by three times," said Keith Kellogg, the US permanent representative to Ukraine and Russia.
