According to the Minfin portal, supermarkets have published fresh prices for chicken eggs and sunflower oil in January.
In January 2025, significant changes in prices for the most important products in the food basket of Ukrainians were observed. Prices for chicken eggs decreased, while sunflower oil became slightly more expensive.
Chicken eggs showed a noticeable decrease in prices compared to December 2024. In particular, a package of 10 eggs from the C1 'Kvocka' category dropped in price from 78.40 UAH to an average price of 65.65 UAH. 'Yasensvit' eggs in a package of 10 also became more affordable - their average price decreased from 78.06 UAH to 70.60 UAH. A similar trend is observed for large packages: the price for 18 'Yasensvit' eggs decreased from 135.09 UAH to 120.27 UAH, and the package of 30 eggs dropped in price from 235.90 UAH to 200.55 UAH.
As for sunflower oil, there is a slight increase in prices. Refined 'Oleina' oil (850 ml) rose in price from 65.87 UAH to 68.72 UAH (an increase of 4.3%). 'Shchedryi Dar' oil also showed an increase - from 73.46 UAH to 74.76 UAH for a 850 ml bottle (an increase of 1.8%).
