The heavy battle for Kurakhove continues: DeepState analysts reported details.

The Russians shelled the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Kurakhove all day on October 17, using 30 pieces of military equipment. Later, they claimed to have captured Maksymilianivka, located near Kurakhove. This is reported by DeepState analysts.
Today, the Russians tried all day to capture Maksymilianivka, using more than 30 pieces of equipment, more than half of which were destroyed or damaged. There is constantly a lot of infantry appearing near the equipment.
They also reported that yesterday the enemy published a video with their tricolor, claiming to have completely captured the settlement. The video was taken in the center of the village, but we are currently verifying information about whether the enemy is in the entire settlement. Given the situation, the western part of Maksymilianivka is almost under control. We expect an update of the map of this area.
In addition, the enemy is storming the area to the north, towards Hostre-Ostrivske, constantly sending infantry there for consolidation, accumulation, and advancement. They bypass Hostre from the south, moving through the prison, and are trying to advance towards Ostrivske. Constant work of destroying the enemy has begun, but their numerical superiority in infantry, equipment, and artillery affects the situation in the battle. The fight continues.
Let's recall, the DeepState project previously reported that the Russian army is trying to continue its offensive on Kurakhove and break through Ukrainian positions to encircle the city.
In September, an increase in movements of Russian equipment towards Vuhledar and Kurakhove was recorded.
