Russia controls millions of Ukrainian children

The Russian Federation continues to have control over up to 1.6 million Ukrainian minors. This was reported by the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak.

According to him, the Russian authorities are destroying their Ukrainian identity, forcing them to accept Russian citizenship, and involving them in military organizations and propaganda programs.

Arrest of Putin for child deportation

Andriy Yermak reminded that the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Vladimir Putin and Maria Lvova-Belova for the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children. The incident occurred in March 2023.

Ukraine will punish the perpetrators of the crime

According to Yermak, Ukraine is using all possible tools to punish the organizers and perpetrators of this crime. In particular, Ukrainian prosecutors have already submitted an indictment against the kidnappers of 10-month-old Margarita Prokopenko from Kherson.

The Department of Government Efficiency of the White House (DOGE), headed by Elon Musk, has ceased funding for the Humanitarian Research Laboratory at Yale University, which helped in the search for Ukrainian children kidnapped by Russia from occupied territories.

The Save Ukraine team has also successfully helped to return two teenagers from the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region. In total, seven Ukrainian children have returned to the territory controlled by Ukraine, including two from the Kherson region.
