According to the data from the Minfin portal, the prices for cucumbers and tomatoes changed before the New Year holidays. Many Ukrainians are interested in the cost of vegetables for festive dishes.

According to the results of the price monitoring, a mixed dynamics of vegetable prices was observed in December 2024 compared to November.

Regular cucumbers became cheaper and now cost 109.90 UAH/kg, smooth cucumbers rose to 158.70 UAH/kg. For long-fruited cucumbers, you now have to pay 169.00 UAH/kg, while short-fruited cucumbers have become cheaper and cost 99.90 UAH/kg.
Red tomatoes now cost 119.82 UAH/kg, and 'verška' tomatoes - 148.40 UAH/kg.

Regarding prices in different cities, cucumbers are sold at the Capital Market for prices ranging from 60 to 80 UAH/kg, while in Odessa - from 140 to 300 UAH/kg. As for tomatoes, pink ones cost from 130 to 140 UAH/kg, while yellow ones - from 120 to 140 UAH/kg.

In Odessa, you can buy cucumbers wholesale at a price ranging from 80 to 255 UAH/kg, and tomatoes - from 90 to 150 UAH/kg. Yellow tomatoes at the wholesale market cost from 150 to 190 UAH/kg.

Thus, the prices for vegetables for the festive table have changed before the New Year holidays, which affects the choice of Ukrainians when buying products.
