Russian troops struck Kharkiv
According to the mayor of the city, Ihor Terekhov, and the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleksii Synehubov, Russian troops struck a densely populated area of Kharkiv. Specifically, the strike was on a high-rise building in the Kyiv district.
Currently, there is no exact information about the number of casualties and injured. According to preliminary data, there are victims among the residents of the building.
It is also worth noting that later explosions were felt in Kharkiv. The circumstances of the event are currently being clarified.
According to Oleksii Synehubov, as of 17:20, it was confirmed that there were two fatalities. Emergency services are working at the impact site to help the injured and gather information.
Earlier, Russian troops had already launched a missile strike on Kharkiv, which led to the damage of civilian buildings. According to preliminary data, the number of injured from these shellings reaches 21 people, 17 of whom were hospitalized, including a 16-year-old teenager.
Note that this is not the first such incident in the Kharkiv region. On the night of October 7, Russian troops struck various areas, including Kharkiv. One woman was injured as a result of the shelling of the village of Mitrofanivka in the Kupiansk district.
On the night of October 6, a Russian occupier airstrike was also recorded in the village of Cherkaska Lozova in the Kharkiv region. As a result of the explosion, a private house was damaged.
