U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio reported that Russia is proposing a ceasefire in exchange for lifting sanctions. He noted this at a press conference with Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness. According to Rubio, the U.S. has agreed to a ceasefire in the Black Sea and received the Russians' position regarding the 'energy truce' and the future regime of silence. However, Russia has set a condition - the lifting of sanctions by the European Union. Rubio considers the discussions about a ceasefire a positive signal, and the final decision will be made after agreeing with U.S. President Donald Trump.
It should be recalled that American intelligence has analyzed the prospects for ending the war between Russia and Ukraine.
