Law enforcement investigates 49 cases of murder of Ukrainian soldiers during surrender.

Rapid increase in cases of murder of Ukrainian defenders during surrender
The rapid increase in cases of the murder of Ukrainian defenders during surrender began at the end of last year and reached unprecedented proportions this year. The highest number of cases has been recorded in the Donetsk region.
This was reported by Denis Lysenko, head of the Department for Crimes Committed in Conditions of Armed Conflict, Office of the Prosecutor General.
In particular, in the Donetsk region, two more cases of murder of Ukrainian prisoners of war during surrender were registered. These events took place on October 23 in the eastern part of the city of Selidove, when three prisoners of war were killed, and on November 1 near the village of Vyshneve in the Selidove territorial community, when another three prisoners of war were shot by occupants.
"We are now engaged in analyzing all these cases, looking for patterns and regularities. And we are now building cases against representatives of the high command of the Russian Armed Forces, who, in our opinion, may be involved in organizing such crimes or in not taking measures to stop them and punish the guilty. Therefore, we are considering all these cases comprehensively, and the participation of a particular armed unit is, of course, analyzed by us in each specific case. But this does not remove the responsibility from the commanders,"said the head of the department.
