"Putin needs a triumph": Arty Green explained why Russia is rushing to end the war with Ukraine.

The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, faces a difficult choice: to sign a peace agreement or opt for a military path with economic mobilization.
Former Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Arty Green explained in an interview that Putin is in a challenging situation, with two choices, each carrying its own risks and consequences.
"If he is not allowed to stop the war, he could turn Russia into a new North Korea and embark on the path of military communism. Anyone who says he won't succeed is either fooling themselves or everyone else," Green stated.
The military expert warns that it is crucial for Putin to preserve his reputation while exiting the conflict: "He must exit the war in a way that allows him to claim a great victory achieved under his leadership. And not just say it, but in a way that the majority will believe him. Therefore, he can't come out with a defeated face. He needs to emerge with his head held high and flags waving," Green emphasized.
According to the military expert, the Kursk operation has provided Putin with an opportunity to announce a victory: "Currently, Putin is actively propagating that he has liberated Kursk, even using artistic depictions for this. Therefore, it is important to finish the symphony on this active note."
"I wouldn’t be surprised if a ceasefire is announced on Monday. I don’t understand why it’s not happening. The conflict poses no threat in any direction," the expert added.
