On the evening of March 18, a video was circulated showing municipal workers dismantling the 'SVO' installation. Workers were taking apart the large street letters.

It is noted that this was not accidental, as the letters were damaged and in need of repair.

After restoration, the letters will be returned to their place. Russian sources report that this will happen close to May 9.

Decision on the invasion

It should be noted that since February 24, 2022, the Russian authorities have officially referred to the large-scale invasion of Ukraine as a 'special military operation.'

Negotiations between the U.S. and Russia

Recall that U.S. President Donald Trump held talks with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. The American leader stated that he looked forward to speaking with the Kremlin chief. The conversation lasted over two hours.

After the negotiations, both the Kremlin and the White House published concluding statements. In comparing the versions of the U.S. and Russia, it was noted that 'the move towards peace will begin with an energy and infrastructure ceasefire, as well as technical negotiations on implementing a maritime truce in the Black Sea, a complete cessation of hostilities, and establishing lasting peace.'

Strikes on critical infrastructure

On the evening of March 18, Russian troops conducted strikes on the critical infrastructure of the city of Sloviansk in the Donetsk region.

President Zelensky confirmed tomorrow's exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and Russia. He mentioned that he received this information from the SBU and GUR and that the exchange had been planned in advance.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin told U.S. President Donald Trump during their phone conversation that an exchange of prisoners in the format of 175 for 175 would take place tomorrow, March 19.
