Dust storm in Ukraine: Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center named the official cause.

As of the morning of September 30, a dust storm and high air dustiness are observed in the Caspian Lowland. Due to the transfer of air by wind from the southeast, dust in the form of the smallest particles is transferred to Ukraine in the upper layers of the atmosphere, reports the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
This fine dust settles in Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, Luhansk regions. It also partially gets into Cherkasy and Kirovohrad regions. The local dryness of the earth's surface adds local dust and soil particles, complicating the dust situation, the report says.

Dust storms will last until Friday, when the wind direction changes to south and west. As a result, dust will come to Ukraine in waves, and visibility and air quality will alternate with improvement.
In the Kyiv region, dust will arrive on October 1 and 2, but its amount will be less. However, for Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions, air quality may also deteriorate due to the movement of carbon monoxide from the northeast beyond Ukraine, which is expected on October 1.
Recall that a sandstorm covered several cities of Ukraine, including Kharkiv, Dnipro, Poltava, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions.
As previously reported, snow fell in several regions of Ukraine, particularly in the Transcarpathian and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. Snow was noticed in Dragobrat, under Petros, and on Pozyzhevska glade.
