The United States of America sees no indications of Putin's readiness for negotiations to end the war in Ukraine
The United States of America currently sees no evidence that the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is ready for negotiations to end the war in Ukraine on terms other than his own. This was stated by US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller, reports RBC-Ukraine, citing his briefing.
"We see no indications that Putin is ready to drop his demand to continue absorbing Ukrainian territory. I am sure there are negotiations that Putin would agree to, where he will get everything he wants and Ukraine will get nothing of what it is entitled to under the UN Charter," Miller said.
However, he noted that these are not the negotiations in which the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, is interested, "and should not be interested".
