The USA threatens Russia with sanctions

President of the United States Donald Trump expressed the possibility of imposing widespread sanctions and tariffs against Russia due to the massive missile attack on Ukraine. He urged Russia and Ukraine to sit down for talks to cease fire and resolve the conflict.

In response to Trump's threats, the Kremlin stated that sanctions would not stop Russia in achieving its goals on the territory of Ukraine.

The Russian Federation carried out a combined aerial strike on Ukraine, however, many missiles and drones did not hit their targets. The strike was aimed at critical infrastructure and the gas extraction industry.

Elimination of the emergency at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant

The emergency caused by the shelling of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant has been resolved. The fire under the arch of the new safe confinement has been extinguished and the spread of the filling of the protective shell has been stopped. The radiation situation is under control.

Extension of the list of persons who can cross the border

The government has expanded the list of individuals allowed to cross the border during the martial law. This includes relatives of the deceased and soldiers awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine.

Agreement with the European Investment Bank

The government signed an agreement with the European Investment Bank for 2 billion euros for the reconstruction and recovery of Ukraine. The funds will be used for projects in the energy, transport, infrastructure sectors, as well as for the repair of schools, hospitals, and water supply.
