Former Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko attended the performance of 'Macbeth' at the Ivan Franko National Theatre. He considers this production a 'new chapter for Ukrainian theatre'. This was reported by 'Glavkom' referring to Tkachenko's post on Facebook.

'Macbeth', directed by Ivan Uryvskyi at the Kyiv Theatre named after Franko, is a new achievement for Ukrainian theatre. The minimalist decorations with screens that almost come alive on television screens harmoniously blend with the actors' performances, creating a tapestry of another reality from one of Shakespeare's best works,' the post states.

Tkachenko notes that Ukrainian theatre is experiencing a new revival: 'Ukrainian theatre, which in recent years, especially during the full-scale war, is undergoing a new upsurge, offers modern and powerful artistic discoveries to the Ukrainian audience. This is inspiring.'

It should be noted that 'Glavkom' attended the first premiere of the play 'Macbeth'. This production has the potential for success, as director Ivan Uryvskyi has previously achieved recognition with his work 'The Witch of Konotop'.

The main roles of Macbeth are played by Akmal Hurezev and Oleksandr Rudynskyi, the latter having received an award at the BAFTA film awards in London for the short film 'Rock, Paper, Scissors'. Both actors are well-known and recognized.

The roles of Banquo, Duncan, Lady Macbeth, Macduff, and Malcolm are also performed by talented actors.
