Power outage schedules will operate differently: the true goal has been named.

The Ministry of Energy has made changes to the instructions on power outage schedules. These changes aim to preserve Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
After new waves of outages began on November 18, the company 'DTEK Kyiv Electric Networks' reported a 30% increase in accidents involving electrical equipment.
'Under the previous regulations, when there were three consumer queues and the switching on and off of electricity occurred almost immediately, without a transition period, much equipment simply became unsuitable, especially expensive transformers. Now there are already six queues and, considering subgroups, actually twelve. Therefore, the process of switching on and off electricity has become smoother. Substations, transformers - small, large. One house, another... Ordinary consumers, I think, will not even notice. They will have a general schedule - and that’s it. They won’t learn what happened internally,' explains a source from one of the regional energy companies.
The expert notes that energy equipment in Ukraine is worn out, and the situation is only worsening due to shelling, but the new Ministry of Energy instruction at least helps to address the issue.
'The appearance of a new methodology for creating power outage schedules indicates that the ministry has acknowledged the systemic and prolonged nature of the issues regarding the deficit of energy capacities and network limitations,' states Volodymyr Omelchenko, director of energy programs at the Razumkov Centre.
We remind you that the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine has changed the instructions for compiling and applying power outage schedules. The relevant order of the Ministry of Energy dated November 27, 2024, No. 439 came into force on December 3, 2024.
Ukraine reduces electricity imports
Ukraine continues to reduce electricity imports despite rising consumption and limitations for consumers. This was reported by electric energy market analyst at ExPro Consulting Daria Orlova. According to her, in November 2024, electricity imports amounted to about 165 thousand MWh, which is 9% less than in October.
The timing and volumes of limitations may vary. To learn the current information about the outage schedules in your region, visit the website or the official pages of the regional energy companies on social media.
