General Staff revealed the losses of Russians since the beginning of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's operation in Kursk.


During the operation in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, Ukrainian military forces have defeated over 55 thousand Russian soldiers. Of these, 22 thousand were killed. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
'Over the course of seven and a half months of the Kursk operation, total losses for the enemy have exceeded 55 thousand people. Among them, 22.2 thousand have been killed, 31.8 thousand have been wounded, and over 940 have been captured,' the General Staff's report stated.
In connection with the increased activity of the enemy and attempts to transfer hostilities to the Sumy region, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, visited the defense forces in that direction.
'In the operational zone of the 'Kursk' troops grouping, our soldiers continue to conduct defensive operations to prevent the enemy from penetrating deeper into the territory of Ukraine. For the same purpose, Ukrainian forces are carrying out successful counter-offensive and assault actions,' Syrskyi said, as reported by the General Staff.
It should be noted that during the last day, March 26, the Russian occupying army lost 1670 military personnel.
Earlier, it was reported that as a result of the Defense Forces' strike on the Russian airfield 'Engels-2' on March 20, 2025, the aggressor state lost 96 air-launched cruise missiles.
