NATO Secretary General Predicted the End of the War in Ukraine.

The NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte expressed his opinion during an interview with the NV newspaper that the war could end tomorrow if the Russians cease the conflict and leave. He also did not rule out the possibility of concluding the war by the end of the current year, but he could not predict exact timelines. Rutte emphasized the importance of President Trump in the peace process between Ukraine and Russia but also noted that NATO members should spend more on defense according to the demands set forth by Trump.
Trump and Ukraine
US President Donald Trump has previously stated that he does not consider the possibility of Ukraine joining NATO and even urged Ukraine to forget about the Alliance. The reason for this decision was that Ukraine's desire to join NATO could serve as a pretext for Russian aggression.
At the same Time, Trump has criticized NATO member countries several times for not meeting the requirement to allocate 2% of GDP for defense. He even stated that Alliance countries should allocate even more - 5% of GDP. This creates tension between the US and other NATO member countries and could lead to the US refusing to defend its allies.
The current situation in Ukraine remains tense, and it is impossible to accurately predict the moment the war will end. However, the NATO Secretary General's optimistic thinking could indicate a move towards achieving peace.
