Europe prepares for the US exit from NATO: developing a 'replacement' plan.

Europe prepares to replace the US in NATO
According to the 'Financial Times', European countries that are the largest military powers are working on a plan to gradually assume greater responsibility for the defense of the continent instead of the US. In addition, they are preparing for the possible withdrawal of the United States from NATO. These steps are intended to fulfill the promise of President Donald Trump's administration to transfer responsibilities to European countries. There are also fears that Trump may weaken or even exit the alliance.
Currently, official negotiations are underway involving countries such as the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and the Scandinavian countries. The main task of these negotiations is to develop a plan to transfer the financial and military burden to European capitals and present it to the US during the NATO leaders' summit in June 2025.
The proposals of European countries will contain commitments regarding increasing defense spending and strengthening military potential to replace the US. Achieving this goal will require five to ten years and additional funding.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, also expressed his position on Ukraine's neutrality.
