Debt of 'Ukrenergo' for 'green' electricity exceeded 30 billion UAH.

Arrears of the SE 'Ukrenergo' to the DSO 'Guaranteed Buyer' for the service of producing electricity from renewable energy sources (RES) exceeded 30 billion UAH. This was reported by the energy market analyst at ExPro Consulting Daria Orlowa.
The debt of the electricity transmission system operator SE 'Ukrenergo' to the 'Guaranteed Buyer' for the RES service, which is the source of the 'green' tariff fee, has again exceeded 30 billion UAH' - Orlowa emphasized.
The situation with payments for the 'green' tariff remains difficult: 'As of October 1, according to the DSO 'Guaranteed Buyer', the level of payments for the 'green' tariff in the current year is 60.8%'.
The highest level of payments is observed in winter when the production of electricity from RES decreases, and consequently, payments also decrease. In May and June, when 'green' generation peaks, the level of payments decreases' - explained Orlowa.
Problems with arrears
The expert reminded that on November 13, the NEURC will start the procedure of setting the tariff for the next year.
At the same Time, in effect, the regulator proposes to set the tariff at the level of 665.26 UAH/MWh, which is 15% less than the proposal of the system operator. According to the updated NEURC project, the PSO costs for the 'green' amount to 30.7 billion UAH, and the projected 'green' tariff - 6437.28 UAH/MWh' - added the expert.
Tariff for electricity transmission
According to Orlowa, the tariff for electricity transmission of SE 'Ukrenergo' is a key source of financing for the 'green' tariff.
Recently, the advisor to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, a member of the Supervisory Board of 'Ukrenergo' Yuriy Boiko stated that this year Ukrenergo will increase the existing commitment for the service of increasing the share of electricity from renewable sources by at least 8 billion UAH.
