Free Wi-Fi in all CNAPs and beyond: when Ukrainians will get access.

The government has mandated that public institutions ensure uninterrupted internet access during power outages
In order to ensure uninterrupted access to the internet, even during power outages, the government of Ukraine has established requirements for public institutions. This was reported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation. The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the technical requirements to be followed during the tender procurement of internet services by public institutions.
'Work in public institutions should not stop even during power outages,' the Ministry of Digital Transformation emphasizes.
Thus, every CNAP, hospital, and communal institution is required to guarantee internet access regardless of the presence of electricity supply. Providers must ensure uninterrupted internet operation in government bodies, even during power shortages. The speed of the internet connection will depend on the number of users.
For institutions with more than 100 users, an internet speed of 1 Gbit/s is provided. Additionally, institutions with over 100 individuals are required to sign contracts with two providers to ensure backup connectivity.
Open Wi-Fi zones for citizens will also be deployed in every institution. This will allow Ukrainians to enjoy stable internet access in case of connectivity issues at home. The new conditions will apply during the new tenders.
Previously, a new feature was launched in 'Diia' for reporting lack of connection or internet.
