Fines may reach 5100 hryvnias: Ukraine plans to dramatically increase fines – list.

The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine intends to increase fines for violations in the field of waste management. This applies to both individuals and officials and entrepreneurs. It is planned to increase fines for pollution of agricultural lands, water resources, launching enterprises without treatment facilities, pollution of internal waters or the sea, conducting cargo handling operations without permission, damaging forests, handling waste without permission, and more. Responsibility for such violations will be determined depending on the person and the nature of the violation.
The ministry emphasizes that increasing fines will contribute to the enforcement of legislation and improve waste management. The main goal of administrative responsibility is to prevent violations in the future and preserve the environment and the health of citizens.
Previous fines provided for by legislation were significantly lower. The proposals from the Ministry of Environmental Protection take into account inflation and the ineffectiveness of the old fines.
The introduction of new fines will promote the improvement of waste management in Ukraine and prevent similar offenses in the future.
