In the Ukrainian Armed Forces 'Siversk', an increase in enemy shelling of the border regions of Chernihiv and Sumy has been recorded.

The operational and tactical group of troops 'Siversk' reported that the Russian forces are increasing shelling of Chernihiv and Sumy regions, with civilian and critical infrastructure objects becoming targets of attacks. This information was confirmed by the spokesperson of the operational and tactical group 'Siversk', Colonel Vadym Mysnyk.
According to Mysnyk, the situation at the border of Chernihiv and Sumy with Russia is tense. The enemy continues shelling every day, although there has been a noticeable decrease in activity recently. However, yesterday the enemy again increased the number of shellings. The Russian side is actively using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to attack civilian and critical infrastructure objects.
Mysnyk explained that near the border the enemy primarily uses UAVs, FPV drones, and mortars. He also actively employs strike UAVs such as Shahed and 'Geran'. The Ukrainian military responds by using electronic warfare (EW) systems, although sometimes UAVs hit civilian objects due to malfunctions.
Mysnyk emphasized that Russia targets attacks on civilian objects, such as critical infrastructure, transportation, and residential buildings.
