The Ukrainian wrestling team returns from the U20 World Championship in Spanish Pontevedra with four brilliant medals. Our athletes showed incredible skill and spirit, winning gold and prize places in a fierce competition with the best wrestlers in the world. This was reported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Champions and prize-winners were
- Yegor Yakushenko - gold in Greco-Roman wrestling (weight category 97 kg).
- Irina Bondar - silver in women's wrestling (weight category 62 kg).
- Maria Orlevich - silver in women's wrestling (weight category 76 kg).
- Aida Kerimova - bronze in women's wrestling (weight category 50 kg).
These victories are the result of hard work, dedication to sports, and boundless love for Ukraine.
Let us remind you that the athlete was forced to hide the Ukrainian sticker with a heart at the 2024 Paralympics.
