Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that some Ukrainians are required to return payments of 1,000 hryvnias that they received under the 'Winter eSupport' program. According to him, this payment is only available to those citizens who remain in Ukraine. If a person received assistance while being abroad, they must return it to the state.
'The number of people who apply for 'eSupport' from abroad may be small. But we will check everything, and such people, as has been the case in previous times, will return the funds. Therefore, it is not worth abusing these things,' emphasized the Prime Minister.
He also noted that when a person applies for a payment, they confirm their stay in Ukraine. The government monitors this process. Let us remind you that 'Winter eSupport' is a program of state material assistance provided to the population of Ukraine during the winter period.
Key features of the program:
- Every citizen of Ukraine can receive a one-Time payment of 1,000 hryvnias.
- An application for payment can be submitted until the end of February 2025, and the money can be used throughout 2025.
- The payment applies to adults and children. Parents can receive support for each of their children using the 'Diia' app.
In February, Ukrainians will face some changes that will occur in the country.
