Ukrainians Receive 'Letters from the NBU': How Not to Fall for Scammers' Tricks.

Cybersecurity experts have discovered a new type of fraud where scammers impersonate employees of the National Bank of Ukraine.

The criminals use forged data from the official institution to try to deceive citizens through emails with falsified information.

The criminals send emails from various addresses but indicate a fake e-mail in the signature: nbu@gov.nbu.ua, similar to the official domain of the National Bank of Ukraine'

Especially dangerous are the attachments to the letters, which may contain malware or links to phishing sites. The National Bank emphasizes that the official email of its employees has the domain @bank.gov.ua.

• Avoid downloading any files from suspicious emails
