Basic food products that play an important role in the nutrition of Ukrainians have undergone some changes in cost. According to the Minfin portal, the prices for buckwheat, rice, and pasta impact family budgets, as their use in daily nutrition is very widespread.
In particular, the price of buckwheat has decreased compared to May, when it cost an average of 34.13 UAH per kilogram. In June, the price for buckwheat is already 34.22 UAH per kilogram, which is almost unchanged from May's indicators, with a slight increase.
The price of long rice remains unchanged at 58.50 UAH per kilogram. Parboiled rice has decreased in price from 68.13 UAH in May to 58.10 UAH in June. The price of round rice has slightly increased from 72.25 to 72.96 UAH per kilogram.
Pasta of the highest grade has become more expensive, rising from 35.24 UAH in May to 37.45 UAH in June.
Analysis of food prices in Ukraine
The situation with prices for main food products in Ukraine allows consumers to evaluate the cost of their diet and make adjustments to the family budget. A comparison of prices from May and June indicates some fluctuations that should be taken into account when planning purchases.
