Ukraine has calculated how much money is needed to restore marine infrastructure.

During a meeting with a delegation from the European Parliament's Subcommittee on Security and Defense, the leadership of the State Enterprise 'Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority' discussed the modernization of marine infrastructure and the renewal of Ukraine's fleet. According to the head of the USPA, Oleksandr Semyrha, Ukrainian seaports continue to operate under threat from Russia, which is actively using missile and drone attacks.
These attacks have led to damage to more than 400 infrastructure facilities, including docks, equipment, and vessels. Currently, the most important task is to ensure the stability of the port system's operation, as well as the technical renewal of the fleet and the digitization of processes. The cost of necessary upgrades is estimated in the tens of millions of euros. The head of the USPA also emphasized that implementing these steps is impossible without support from the European Union and other international partners.
