Ukraine assessed how much it will cost to restore the medical system.

The needs for restoring Ukraine's medical system
According to Health Minister Viktor Lyashko, it will require 19.4 billion dollars over the next 10 years. He noted that over the past year, the number of damaged medical facilities has increased by almost 40%, and currently, over 2300 buildings have been affected, 305 of which have been completely destroyed. However, even under such conditions, the medical system continues to operate without interruption.
'And this is not the final figure. Just in the past year, the number of damaged facilities has increased by almost 40%. As of now, over 2300 buildings of medical institutions have been affected, of which 305 have been completely destroyed. But even in such conditions, we have maintained resilience - the medical system has not stopped for a single day'
Lyashko also highlighted the initiative Ukraine Facility by the European Commission as an important tool for strategic partnership aimed at the restoration and modernization of Ukraine, supporting reforms, and mobilizing investments. In particular, financing has been signed for projects to modernize some medical facilities aimed at improving the conditions for the provision of medical services in various regions of the country.
It was also announced that a program for international medical partnership has been launched, thanks to which Ukrainian doctors will be able to gain new knowledge and experience, as well as share their knowledge with international colleagues.
