The Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine claims that forecasts for grain exports remain positive, despite reduced estimates from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Vitaliy Koval, the head of the ministry of agrarian policy and food, reported that a large harvest of wheat, barley, corn, and other agricultural crops is expected. He also emphasized successes in the oil sector and the importance of livestock development for balanced growth in the agricultural sector. Koval also highlighted the prospects of opening up the Middle Eastern market and Ukraine's strategic goals regarding increasing the processing volume of agricultural products and transforming the country into an agro-industrial state.
The main priority of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy is the development of livestock. We have great opportunities in this direction.
Our goal is to transform Ukraine from an agrarian into an agro-industrial country.
