In Russia, the ritual service market has soared: which regions earn the most.


The ritual market in Russia continues to grow: since the beginning of the year, ritual organizations have earned almost 40 billion rubles, which is 12.7% more than last year. The highest income was recorded in St. Petersburg - nearly 3.7 billion rubles from January to April.
According to the statistics service of the Russian Federation, the prices for making coffins and digging graves increased in April by 9% and 14.7% respectively. Changes in the market have also been noted, with new purchasing locations arising.
The director of the Nizhny Novgorod crematorium, Vladimir Voroshukha, reported that there are reports of criminal cases in connection with the trade of information about death in various regions of Russia.
It is also worth noting that due to the conflict with Ukraine, the prices for ritual services have significantly increased: the cost of coffins has risen by 22.2%, and the cost of services has increased over the last three years.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of June 11, 2025, Russia has lost almost a million soldiers in the war with Ukraine - practically 999,200 individuals.
