Girl in Lviv received burns as a result of electric shock
In Lviv, an 11-year-old girl climbed onto a train car and received burns as a result of electric shock, reports the Lviv regional police.
On October 20 at 18:40, the police received a report that a child had fallen from a train car and was injured.
As law enforcement officers found out, the underage Lviv resident and her friend went to the railway to take a selfie. When the girl climbed onto the car, she received an electric shock, lost consciousness, and fell to the ground. Her friend called her mother, who called for an ambulance.
The child was hospitalized with a "2nd-3rd degree electric shock" diagnosis. Currently, there is no threat to her life and health.
“Lviv law enforcement once again warns that railway stations are not a place for fun. Under no circumstances should you attempt to climb onto cars or locomotives. Remember - the high-voltage contact network is under high tension, and the result of such actions usually leads to electric shock, sometimes with fatal outcomes. Additionally, children who try to climb onto the roofs of cars often fall, suffering injuries or dying by falling under the wheels of moving railway stock,” warn the law enforcement officers.
Let us remind you that in the Kyiv region, a train fatally hit a 19-year-old boy. The incident occurred on September 16 around 17:20 at the railway crossing in Vyshneve, Bucha district. The young man was crossing the railway crossing at a prohibited traffic light signal when he was hit by a train.
